Sheldon Wirelexs has an exhaustive discussion but the easy way to find out is a roll out test pick a mark on the floor, roll the wheel a complete revolution, measure. Every bike computer you'll ever use has some initial setup where you choose the units, set the time and enter either a wheel size or circumference.
Cateye's take a circumference and there's a handy chart in both manuals to help you choose one, or you can measure it.

Wireless computer wiring needed! The dual wheel size memory function allows bikd to share the unit among two bikes with different sized wheels, or use it on the same bike even if you use different sized wheels in your riding.
The display and the sensor each use one CR button battery. The sensor's battery should last about a year at one hour per day, without the backlight; the sensor's battery will last approximately 6, miles. If the computer has not received a signal in 10 minutes, it goes into power-saving mode, displaying only the time; after two weeks with no signal, it goes into sleep mode.
Cheers for these instructions. The manual is a load of rubbish, but this makes setting the device so simple.
I've just changed bikes so it was good to reset everything easily. Never would have figured the clock set from the users guide.
I'll print your work and carry it with me. Does anyone know what circumference setting works with a 29er? The manual only goes up to C.
The easiest way to get the input number is to put a dot of grease on your front tyre, roll the bike in a straight line and measure between the two dots now marked on the floor, centre to centre in millimeters is your number. I feel better now my husband was laughing at me because I could not figure out the manual.
It is nice to know I was not the only one. Your instructions were much easier to follow. Thanks again.
Great, thanks for the help. I forgot about the button on the bottom of the unit to actually make the changes. The selection A and B is for two wheel sizes on the same bike.
Only the wheel magnet is needed for the second set of wheels. Very informative and well written post!
Quite interesting and nice topic chosen for the post. Great Work.
Very clear concise instructions. Much better than the Cateye ones. Thank you so much for helping me look like a "pro" in my husbands eyes. Ccateye you very much! I lost my instructions useless as they are and changed my battery today.
It's UNbelievable how bad the instructions with these Cateyes are. But - you've made my day!
Now my device is ready to go for tomorrow's ride. Greetings from Simi Valley, CA!
I got a new battery for cateye micro mc100w wireless bike computer wheel circumference very old Cateye and the instructions were long gone, so I downloaded a copy from the Internet and I could not make circumfernece or tails of how to format the damn thing, gps bike then I found this link and I heard music as the heavens opened up.
Thank you for catwye the time to do this, and if you're ever in Simi Valley I will take to a tavern and ply you with food and strong drink. It's the American way! Great instructions.
News:Hi all, I have my Cateye Micro Wireless cc-mcw all set up except for the clock. I have tried to like other Cateye computers, you need to get it into time mode (I.e. . Press Start/Stop to choose A or B wheel circumference.
